  • 3.5 cups of flour
  • 200g of sour cream

  • Powdered sugar to taste
  • A pinch of salt

Recipe for making Croissants made from shortcrust pastry:

  1. In a deep bowl, mix the sifted flour, salt, and baking soda.
  2. Add grated frozen butter to the resulting crumbly mixture and rub everything into a homogeneous mass.
  3. Add sour cream to the resulting crumbly mixture and knead a soft dough.
  4. Divide the prepared dough into 4 parts. Roll out each part of the dough into a flat cake and cut each cake into elongated triangles.
  5. Spread a little jam on the wide part of each triangle and roll it up, starting from the wide part of the dough towards the narrow part, forming a roll.
  6. Give the croissants a crescent shape and place them on a prepared baking sheet.
  7. Bake in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius until golden brown.
  8. Remove the ready croissants from the oven while they are still hot and sprinkle them with powdered sugar.
