Fish solyanka

Рыбная солянка

Ingredients:

  • Fish – 500g
  • Salted cucumbers – 4 pieces
  • Onion – 1 piece
  • Tomatoes – 2 pieces
  • Capers – 1 tablespoon
  • Olives – 1 tablespoon
  • Vegetable oil – for frying
  • Bay leaf – to taste
  • Ground black pepper – to taste
  • Parsley – to taste
  • Salt – to taste

Recipe:

  1. Remove the fillet from the fish and cut it into pieces.
  2. Make a broth from the bones and head of the fish.
  3. Finely chop the onion and sauté it in a pot with some oil.
  4. Add the tomatoes (or tomato puree) to the pot and sauté for 5-6 minutes.
  5. After that, add the fish, chopped cucumbers, capers, bay leaf, pepper, salt, and pour in hot broth. Simmer for about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Put olives and finely chopped parsley in a plate, and ladle the solyanka over them.
