- Egg yolks – 4
- Sugar – 4 tablespoons
- Butter – 40 grams
- Sour cream – 2 tablespoons
- Flour – 1 tablespoon
Recipe for Vatrushki: Dough:
- Dissolve the yeast and sugar in warm milk and let it sit for 10 minutes.
- Add melted butter, sifted flour, and salt to the yeast mixture. Mix well and knead the dough.
- Cover the dough with a kitchen towel and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size. Gently punch down the dough with your hands between rises.
- Form dough balls, place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and let them rise again.
Filling:
- Mix the cottage cheese, sour cream, sugar, egg yolks, softened butter, and flour.
- Use a glass to make indentations in the center of each dough ball and fill with the cheese mixture.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200 degrees Celsius for 25 minutes. Remove from the oven, place on a dish, and let cool. Vatrushki are ready!
